On November 11th, 2013, leading a tour for the French at Belleau Wood, I met Laura Froidefond who is a young film director, and she wanted to get some information about the battle. Through the tour I led , she was overwhelmed by my ability and passion to make the battle alive and to show its human side. Few days later she called me to know if I would be interested to contribute to her project to make a documentary film about the Marines at Belleau Wood. Later Antoine Favre, Laura's classmate from the Bruxelles school of Cinema joined us on the project, and at last we found a producer in Paris ( Program 33)  showing an avid interest for my personality and my work to preserve the history of those men, and Laura and Antoine's project. We had a marvelous and very professional team, and after few years shooting the film in France and the USA, with great American people who were all relatives of US Marines of the World War, the film was shown in preview in Chateau Thierry  on May 25th, 2018 for the Overseas Memorial Day and Centennial of the battle of Belleau Wood. The documentary immortalizes not only the personal stories of few Marines through the battle and the feelings of their relatives who come for the first time to that battlefield practically 100 years later,  but also my passion and work.
